    Description: CHARO is a Community Based Organization located in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Uganda. It aims to empowering women refugees, education for the unaccompanied and vulnerable children, train the youth some skills and entrepreneurship and peace building among refugee and host community.
Description:
CHARO is proposing an innovative five-year educational project aimed at transforming the learning experience of refugee children in Nakivale, Uganda, through interactive digital solutions. The project aims to reduce educational inequalities and strengthen children's key skills by deploying accessible, inclusive, and sustainable digital learning centers.Through educational platforms such as BrainPOP, localized multilingual content, solar-powered tablets, and child-centered active learning, CHARO aims to provide a stimulating environment for more than 1,200+ refugee children. The project is based on ESG principles (social impact, inclusion, local governance) and aims for measurable results: improved academic performance, digital skills, and community model is designed for scale: it can be replicated in other refugee camps in Uganda. CHARO benefits from transparent governance, strong community roots, and is committed to ensuring post-funding sustainability through local capacity total estimated budget is USD 156,800 over 5 years, ensuring a lasting impact on the education of the most vulnerable children.
