Immigrants from around the world face the same question: how to send money to their families? "Some transfers are still from hand to hand. formal and informal channels have always coexisted. "
Those who do not opt for person to person transfers are turning to companies that are specialized in money transfers as Western Union or MoneyGram or so to local banks. But the charges applied are high and sometimes represent up to 10% of the amount transferred.
"Overall, the cost of these transfers represented about 8.85% of the amount sent.
Recognizing this, the startup FATIM is suppose to help those who send money to pay reasonable fees for the funds they send mainly in Africa and to other destinations.
We have developed this innovative and revolutionary idea through a platform to reduce to 2% exorbitant fees currently levied between 8% and 12% by the various intermediaries for the same consignment.
The online FATIM platform consists of a network of integer agents that aims to control 60% of money transfer volume in the world very soon.
