I am currently developing Guardian Gem, a patent-pending child safety wearable designed to discreetly protect children while giving parents real-time reassurance. The innovation lies in creating everyday jewellery-like accessories, bracelets, pacifiers, ear-hooks, and more, that embed smart sensors and connect to an AI-powered app. Unlike traditional trackers, Guardian Gem is invisible as a safety device, tamper-resistant, and designed with families in mind, filling a gap in a market that has yet to truly prioritise child security in a discreet, parent-controlled way.
The concept has already attracted early recognition, including feedback from Theo Paphitis’s team, who encouraged me to enter the SBS Sunday competition, and initial interest from leading retailers such as Claire’s. To take the next step, I am seeking pre-seed investment to build working prototypes, assemble a core team, and prepare for market readiness.
Guardian Gem combines my background in national security and intelligence policy, where I drafted frameworks to protect civilians and government systems, with my personal drive as a father to create technology that keeps families safe. My vision is to build a company that not only delivers cutting-edge consumer IoT safety technology but also becomes a trusted brand for parents worldwide.
