KG Test & Train is the first platform for remote practical training for car mechanics. Based on the latest IoT technology, KG Test and train combines advanced fault simulations with remote coaching to make practical automotive training available any time, any place and at a fraction of the cost.

KG Test & Train exposes the mechanic to a real-life situation by simulating faults on a real car - in other words: it makes the car believe that there is a fault when there is none. This way, KG Test & Train provides the perfect setting for the mechanic to experience a fault, observe its symptoms and practice the correct diagnostic procedure before actually facing the problem in his job.

KG Test & Train combines a software application, the KG App, with a hardware module, the KG Box, via a wifi connection. Here is how it works in practice: At the start of the session, the mechanic connects KG Box to a car in his garage and in parallel, the instructor configures the session parameters in KG App. Once he activates the simulation, the car reacts and shows all the symptoms of a real breakdown. This enables the mechanic to observe the symptoms and practice the diagnostic procedure, all while following the instructor's guidance via videoconferencing.
